Best known on the operatic and concert stage for her masterful interpretations of Baroque works, Julia Lezhneva has also immersed herself in late­-Romantic repertoire as a recitalist. Together with pianist Alexander Melnikov, she recently explored the songs of Sergei Rachmaninoff—working in the composer’s former villa in Lucerne on his original Steinway grand piano. They now present the results of their musical journey to Rachmaninoff at the Pierre Boulez Saal.
